We encourage you to support Windy Hill–The Plains in two ways. First, we ask that you consider supporting this good work through direct contributions to our overall funding. Second, we ask you to identify potential new donors–and share this vision with them. Generous people committed to our community have gotten us under way. We need to raise $600,000 to completely fund this $6 Million effort.

Over the course of the last twenty-five years, The Plains, Virginia has lost 30 units that housed working families. While there is still some affordable housing available, sadly some remain substandard for families who have been longstanding contributing members of The Plains community.
The mission of Windy Hill–The Plains is to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing for people who work in or near The Plains.
"For more than forty years, Fauquier County has worked to make its towns and villages vibrant while keeping its agricultural and forestall lands productive. These goals represent two sides of the same coin, and the success of Windy Hill–The Plains is important to all of us." – Holder Trumbo, Scott District representative and former Chairman, Fauquier County Board of Supervisors
